Every animal-human pair has their own unique set of abilities and limitations. Our approach takes these factors into consideration, crafting an attainable and actionable plan for achieving your behavior goals. Options for single training sessions or longer-term enrichment plans are available.
Pet Friendly Habitat Design
Our physical spaces are designed for humans, but our pets spend more time at home then we do. They deserve a comfortable and stimulating environment, free from common safety concerns and the maddening effects of boredom.

Our approach to pet matchmaking is honest, rigorous and nonjudgemental. We are here to advocate for you the whole way, whether you choose to adopt from a reputable breeder or foster/adoption agency.
While it is easy to get caught up in the momentum of pet adoption, here at Smarty Pets, we believe that the best human-animal matches are those that are made with clear eyes and thoughtful evaluations.
Smarty Pets owner and operator Lindsey Wilson has a wide-ranging background in childcare and education, as well as sustainable farming and animal husbandry.
Using what she learned from her years of teaching, nannying and caring for farm animals, Lindsey offers a fresh approach to pet ownership that is rooted in the science of animal cognition, and which takes into account the social, emotional and physical needs of all members of the family.
Lindsey understands the challenges of raising a family of pets first-hand. As the proud parent of two dogs and three cats, she has learned many hard lessons of pet ownership over the past twenty years. She has also witnessed the powerful transformations of her rescued pets, and herself, that has come with the process of building trusting and loving interspecies kinship.

Tavi is just happy to be here. Over the years, she has blossomed into a trusting and courageous version of herself.
Grandpa is a sweet and lively senior cat. He spends his days sunbathing in the catio and playing with his siblings.
Baby Kitty is the household general manager. She is beautiful and beloved, and is an amateur parkour athlete in her spare time.
Zora is an incredible friend and teacher. She is super smart and loves to show off with games of soccer in the backyard.
Eugene is the baby of the family and the glue holding everyone together. His spunky personality perfectly rounds out the family dynamic.
